bitterly disapointed , went with my brother in law a fulham season ticket holder!,we deserved at worst a point
but poor defending cost us the game- well not been able to finish didn't help, fulham have some class players and i think they will be top
6 come the end of term, great effort by town especially in the first 25 mins of the second half, noticed they doubled up on
scannell all the time , but get the feeling bunn may be believing he is too good for anyone, nothing wrong as long as you finish well
but better to pass at the right time , hope everyone's journey home was better than mine 50 miles in just less than 3 hours

Tactically, Powell got it wrong yesterday. It was a game for nakhi wells up top with support players in behind him. They dealt with grant holt all game but the minute we ran at them, they looked absolutely useless. Harry Bunn should have put us up 1-0 and should have had a penalty and then they go down the other end and score, stupid mistake by Hudson but no one even tracked rodallega, the ONLY player who could have scored. Midfield not enough protection at all for the back four, Lynch had one of his better games in a town shirt. Butterfield or Scannell MOTM, only players in second half who showed any creativity. He should have brought on poyet or peltier to replace hogg and taken off holt for wells and driven at them with pace. They looked dangerous every time they broke out and we couldn't deal with it all game. first two goals shocking to concede, and then smithies does his customary mistake to help kill the game off when we need him to pull a worldie out the bag. Need more invention in midfield as yesterday showed only butterfield was looking to make things happen. Holt was knackered by 60. Everyone could see it. Ward for dixon was just a stupid decision as he did nothing when he came on anyway. Should have had at least a point. Battered them second half. Really poor and dissapointing performance and result. Things need sorting out at the back over international break, Harry Bunn needs a rocket as he was anonymous second half after tearing them apart 1st half. Coady and butterfield as holding with majewski could give us spark we need as hoggy just didn't offer anything yesterday when he's not on form.

Bunn needed to score when through and if we'd been kicking our way, might have got the pen.

Agree with ELT they kept Holt quiet all game, he kept drifting wide and we had little threat in the box.

2nd half with all our possession but little bite, Scanz was superb down the right though I was down the front screaming for him to take on defenders in the box and chance being brought down, in fairness they doubled up on him and matched his pace. Delivery from corners was poor, Dicko's excellent flighted cross for Bets header well deserved.
Soon as we hauled off Hogg to go 442 we were always going to concede midfield control and thats where their 2 goals stemmed from, not closing down. I'd rather have seen 352 when Dicko was hauled off and maybe Pelts/Poyet instead of Ward late on but Bunn should have been the change with no impact 2nd half.

Galant in defeat, superb 2700 support. but that dont win you points on the road. I just hope many return sooner rather than later cos on the road this season its been positive and noisy most weeks.

I have confidence CP will look at the good and the bad of the past week's fixtures and work towards a tough Wendy fixture in a fortnight to get us back on track and up towards mid table.

Bit harsh East London mate but I agree we were the masters of our own downfall. Things are looking up though and if Powell can iron out the problems that cost us yesterday we'll make progress up the league. We deffo did not deserve to lose yesterday but as I said, masters of our own downfall. We lacked composure at key times and out decision making was a bit iffy too.

Harsh maybe ART but think that comment reflects how most people thought during the match. We desperately needed to hold onto the midfield battle as we were being over-run even with 3 in the middle so to take one out was a bit stupid in all honesty despite people saying it was done to go in search of the equaliser, we were showing enough threat as it was. Bunn needed taking off, maybe once hammill gets back fit and firing he can provide some real competition and make sure he isn't as complacent as he was yesterday. Scannell atm is easily our best player. He absolutely bossed their fullback and at times released huge pressure off us by running the length of the field holding off 3 or 4 players and winning corners and throw-ins, don't think I've seen a player with his level of upper body strength anywhere else. the man is an absolute machine.

As I questioned the point of the chant '1-0 up and you still don't sing' and pointed out I'd rather be 1-0 up than singing one berk in front said that I should go sit with the home fans.

Didn't realise it was the Eurovision song contest these days although we did manage 'Nul points' which I believe is the English standard these days  Wink

excellent report, that chap Danny must have some time on his hands, certainly nailed the 'over hype' many had got giddy about coming into the game/day out experience.
