Tranmere through to final after a 2-2 draw. The Shots when leading 2-1 were slightly unlucky and were denied by Davies in the home goal, can't give sides three goal leads though

FGR 3-1 up at half time some great goals but Tranmere hindered by having 80 stone Steve McNulty waddling about in defence

Sorry I turned out to be right for once about Tramcar and FGR. Tramcar are and will be again an EFL club, but I think Dale Vince is right FGR will be in Division One after next season.

On paper they have no chance of staying within the salary limit of 55% of turnover. I have no idea what their wage bill currently is but their income must be tiny even by L2 standards with the crowds they get and the lack of commercial opportunities. Getting the club further into debt doesn't matter until they reach the Championship, so they might be able to afford transfer fees but probably not the wages.

I don't see how most EFL clubs can stay within the salary limit of 55% of turnover.

Could Forest Green take over an arm of Ecotricity and massively increase its turnover? I can see the point of the rules in theory, but once Sky money disappears I don't get how clubs exist at all. Chesterfield apparently need a 7,500 crowd to survive. We could only get that by being top of Division One. Next season we'll struggle for 5,000 on current form at the bottom of Division Two. Our seemingly permanent debt is £8 million.

Financial Fair Play seems like flogging a dead horse. We're already blue, we've no Norwegians in the squad, but we're surely an ex-parrot already aren't we? Ensuring FGR play fair financially, seems about as relevant as keeping Wayne Rooney out of the casino.
