Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general
If I am right with what I looked up, last season we ended with 17 clean sheets and this season so far we have 16, so a clean sheet on Saturday would equal the record.

Westwood has to be right up there with the Pressmans and Hodges of our time. Still not played the number of games that those two played but up to 120 now.

Thats a great story, 1923 was his first game so he has seen us win the Title twice, the FA Cup once and the League Cup once. We have been runners up in the league once, FA Cup twice and LC once. He has seen us win the 2nd division 4 times and be runner-up twice!!! His lows are as low as ours are as we also lived through the 70s but his highs are likely never to be seen by an Owls fan again!!

Amazing that in all that time he's only missed a couple of home games. Now he's a real fan.

http://www.swfc.co.uk/news/article/2016-...01366.aspx In case anyone misses it ? strange one this time out as Hutch who will probably win has been out quite a few games through either suspension or injury Doh and westwood good as he is !! was not up to scratch until about december Huh

My player of the year on games played and making a difference would be Lee and with 4 games left could well justify it still if he plays well all four games and we get to where we want to go Thumb up

so im torn between Thumb up
Hutch
Westy
Lee

my nearly rans are Thumb up

Wallace & Lees

And the young player of the year has to be young Hirst as palmer the only first teamer has been terrible Thumb down

Lees or Hutch for me.

I'm not sure anybody has been consistent this season Huh and the ones who usually are, Hutch, Lee, FF, have missed big chunks so it's a difficult one Confused

I'd give it to Dave Wink
and complicated

Its definitely not clear cut as it has been in other years. Hooper deserves a mention for his contribution but as you say like others he has missed big chunks of the season. More of a team effort for us this season I suppose but I would probably go for Lees or Hutch as the two quality players who are consistently good when they play.
