This report just epitomises the man's desperation. He'll be impeached at some stage of of his term of office. I'm 100% certain that is gonna happen - just a case of when and why!

This latest 'shit' just confirms the early criticism of Trump and his followers/associates as being nothing more than blatant troublemakers and posing a huge danger to our world as we know it although I acknowledge N Korea also poses a threat! However, Trump and his bunch of nutters are not the solution - how many innocent lives could be potentially lost this time??? So much for focusing on the US 'domestic front' - a con man of a president!

So Trump congratulates Erdogan re another undemocratic voting process has rendered the Turkish people to effectively vote away their democracy and broker government by diktat! I despair as these kinda crass politics seem to persist regardless and, in this particular case, a highly questionable electoral process to gain a 1% swing for yes to a diktat - dodgy as f###!!! No surprise with Trump's response btw!! Thumb down

Trump's response doesn't really matter, that just a strategic response due to the military requirement for bases in Turkey. The key response is the EU, Turkey wants in to the EU, that is their path to opening borders and trade opportunities that they have no where else. But this election shows exactly why the EU should never allow Turkey to be a member!!

Acknowledged re US interest in the region, which I was aware of, but still no strong principles/scruples evident and that really pisses me off big time! This was a disaster for democratic principles and values and it's so disappointing particularly for millions of good people in Turkey.

He's off on a buy American trip at the moment... which perversely means 'don't buy Trump products '.

After 100 days of Trump's presidency it was recently revealed that his approval rating has now dropped to 41%, one of the worst ratings ever and no wonder as GM sheds about 1000 jobs and considers relocation and how on earth was he ever realistically gonna revive ailing industries in the likes of Detroit and Michigan??? I think the 'penny will drop' for many of Trump's backers who are still 'hanging on' in hope!

I'm not convinced that the penny will ever drop for those who voted for him. In a recent survey 96% said they would still vote for him again!!!

It is possible to revive the industries that have moved away but it would require some serious changes to be made. First he would have to pull the US out of NAFTA, at which point he can place large import duties and tariffs on car imports from Mexico. Short term this would drive up the cost of cars made outside the US and make cars still built here much more competitive, if that resulted in reduced sales for the car companies then they might be persuaded to move their production back. The longer term situation might actually be jobs moving back to the US but ultimately the cost of those goods would undoubtedly go up considerably and it would be the consumer who would end up paying for it all with the increase in the cost of things!! Some cities and regions would benefit from increased jobs and income but the rest of the US would suffer higher prices, not sure that is at all palatable to the voting public over here!!!

Of course there is almost no chance of him achieving all this in his first term, he would need a second term to get to the job increase stage and the economic impact of no NAFTA might hurt the economy to the point where he would not win the next election. Tempting??

Re the car industry alone I think the political 'cute move' would centre on a possible new direction for the whole industry that centres on new innovations, cleaner cars than ever before, automated transport, diesel fuel vehicles being poss sidelined for eventual new generation vehs! However, I don't think Trump's administration is astute enough to drive through (pardon the pun!) such a renaisance in transport provision and logistics.
