The Tory govt spring budget - well said Corbyn re the criticism!!

Hammond's budget extensively criticised by the NLP leader and well done to him re the comprehensive dismantling of Tory ideologies and numerous references to 'business' instead of social dilemmas and pressing needs of working people, a solid transport policy, same re energy provision, social housing, all round educational improvements (not grammar school provision for a select few!!!!!) etc. Also noticeable that Hammond has breached certain promises that were set in the Tory manifesto that covered, for example, NI and VAT - so much for Tory promises 'written in stone' and lets not forget another 'period of austerity' that is inevitably gonna begin again!! But don't worry - the Tories will keep their own people sweet!! Rolleyes  Corbyn ended his speech by saying the budget lacked ambition and fairness to millions of working people! Well that is Toryism 'in a nutshell'! So what's new?

The self employed get stiffed on tax (not in manifesto either, another classic from the tory playbook). And austerity mark 2 continues ....forever. The country is going over a cliff, and they actually don't care as long as they keep the cash tap turned on for their "people".

Where the xxxx was our brexit "windfall" remember that ?

Corbyn is right of course but people don't give a shit. As long as they have enough for a new smart phone or a maxed out credit card they are happy. Meanwhile waiting lists are expanding, schools are falling down, old people don't get the care they need and the country's infrastructure is gradually dissolving.

One day that image of the tories laughing in parliament is not going to look so funny for them. xxxx scum.

At 1.15pm today Hammond announced £350M extra funding for the Scottish govt, a 'drop in the ocean'! The response from the Scottish MPs was mooted while this mocking and laughing group of Tory 'hooray Henries' continued with their shit vocal antics for about a minute! I came to my logical conclusion again that the sooner Scotland moves for self determination, the better! We could have 59 Scottish SNP MPs in place at Westminster and it wouldnae make an ounce of difference re the disregard and contemptuous treatment that is delved out by these shameless c####!!! Bring it on Nicola when the UK bus finally crashes through the safety barrier and falls right over the cliff!!

May's government already back tracking on the NI increase for the self-employed as a good number of her own MPs rebel against this increase! A bit makeshift and embarrassing comes to mind and remember this is even before we observe & brace ourselves for the Tory negotiations to leave the EU!

And an embarrassing climbdown confirmed by May and her cohorts re this NI hike for the self-employed! Consequently ripped apart by Corbyn in the House of Commons! They realised it was a violation of their own manifesto commitments. These promises cover no increases in NI, VAT or income tax! So talk about 'forcing oneself into a corner'!! Don't forget these minions will be negotiating our exit from the EU! Rolleyes

I wouldn't trust this mob to run a bath never mind negotiate on our behalf.

Also davis confirms no assessment done of impact a "no deal" with the EU would cause the UK. This is after Theresa said "no deal is better than a bad one".How can they then say that 'no deal' is better than a 'bad deal' ????

Surely even the brexit crew can see the wheels coming off this pish now ?

Ha ha ha!! You're absolutely right - their contradictions keep 'stacking up'! I'm particularly amused re May's clashes with the SNP and her contradictory reasoning re the SNPs objectives for separation and yet she and her political party are at the forefront of similar moves/motives to leave the EU .

The thing that amazes me (it really shouldn't) is that all the Cabinet Ministers and all the highly paid policy advisers never even noticed that the NIC rise was in direct contravention of their election promises. If they had to replace the lost £2bn, that might concentrate their minds a little.

Interestingly I recently listened to a Civil Service advisor who reckoned the UK govt has about 34 high calibre staff at it's disposal who are capable enough to deal with the forthcoming EU negotiations. He opined that they need 700 staff who can offer a similar standard of expertise!! Now that is alarming but no surprise to me TBH!

I actually think we will see more of these "toe in the water" type budgets as brexit unfolds. Why on earth so many scots want to continue having their lives governed by these posh, clueless chimps running a London bus over the white cliffs of dover is beyond me.
