Theo! I get the 'better together' anti-Scotland sentiments that you are implying all because Scotland effectively had the gall to call a referendum for independence that was lost! But many Scottish voters still wanna go down that route and know we won't end up in the North Atlantic - what an outrageous, inciting remark to make anyway! As for national unity on leaving the EU, who are you kidding??? Yourself? The vote was near enough 'split' FFS and the idea of meekly 'getting on with it' and being led into an economic abyss by a bunch of Tory ##### doesn't appeal to millions n millions of like-minded Brits and that aint gonna change any time soon!! As for Scotland, I think most Scots, pro and anti indy, are watching and waiting to see what these Tory ####s are gonna eventually 'pull' and then we'll see what 'direction' our mood takes us as it finally sinks in that 'better together' was either the great utopia that lotsa Scots voters were duped into believing or it will be confirmed that it was the exact opposite! We'll wait n see -patience is a virtue and the Scottish people certainly have lots of that! We'll bide our time!!

I know it was split, but unfortunately the way it was split was just the wrong way for both you and me. However, spitting our dummies out and wanting another bloody vote isn't going to fix it because it isn't gonna happen. I don't vote Tory either by the way and we can't get rid of the shits until the next election and even then neither you nor us have another party that can get enough seats to win a bloody raffle let alone an election but quite honestly, who the hell is going to do a deal with us if we can't work together and put up a united front? They are not going to give Scotland one deal and/or England and/or Wales and/or Northern Ireland another one. Give your heads a shake. We might be a big economy globally according to our press (how is beyond me considering the size of other European and some Asian countries but apparently we are) but we are geographically a little bunch of islands in the North Atlantic and if you want to go on your own, you will be on your own in the North Atlantic. Going through Customs checks where the M6 becomes the A74(M) or the where A1 goes over the Tweed will be a pain in the arse but the cost of you lot setting up Embassies all over the world should just about bankrupt you anyway. I'll laugh my cock off when it happens. Oh, of course you won't go bankrupt because your soul mates in France (doing OK apparently at the moment, well maybe depending on their current election) and Spain (currently bankrupt but being bailed out by the EU on a regular basis) will bail you out. Dream on.

It's not a dream Theo. Pragmatic and straight-thinking Scots know full well that we can 1. Run our own country and do it effectively
2. Build strong alliances, something we're good at and been doing it for years - healthy inward investment will naturally ensue 3. Still trade with UK countries anyway - that aint gonna change and the economic strategy of doing that is set out in our previous White Paper!

I'd take Scottish Independence tomorrow to get away from our 'common political enemy/opponent' the Tory ####s who just never disappear from the political landscape and this time the damage they inflict on our country will be unfathomable and beyond anything I could ever have imagined. Hence the natural recourse to see my relatively small country forging it's way in another more positive direction and who cares if people like you 'have a laugh' - the successful end goal is by far the more important than the usual negative jibes that come from the unionist front!! IMO there is no strong political alliance to oust these Tory ####s even at the end of the next 3 years esp with the NLP in such a political mess! I personally hope the Tories 'burn their boats' for years to come after this mess but there is no formidable/significant opposition. If it was different, I'd possibly reconsider my position, but it aint! We bide our time up north and I guarantee the 'mood' could well change if the Tories don't disappoint with their shit again! Scotland is not a 'constituency' or a region of england. When some people finally get their heads round that we might all be able to move on.

We were lied to about EU membership, just like we were lied to every step of the way in the referendum campaign. Brexit is going to be a slow car crash, obvious to everybody in ten years time. Hopefully by then, Scotland will have gone its own way.

What a load of pish. scotland wouldn't have to set up embassies all over the world for a start off.

Should Scotland not have its own embassy or consulate in a particular country, those of every other EU member state are obliged under EU law to offer exactly the same assistance they would give their own citizens.

There will be no border posts at berwick either so you xxxx dream on.

This is the latest bbc research study on people who voted either to leave the EU or remain and no surprise for me. The main factors used are age, education and ethnicity and on the age front, it's clear that a younger voter would generally be pro EU. The same trend was evident in the Scottish referendum when our younger population of voters up to 35-40 years would've given us Scottish independence and the country and govt would've been well advanced in preparing and following on from the White Paper instead of being embroiled in the bickering over a brexit vote that we never voted for and were assured by shameless unionist political partners/opponents that it would never happen! Again the educational trend is no surprise and the ethnic one is a logical 'mixed bag'.

MEPs have drafted seven provisions to be included in Britain’s “exit agreement”, including the stipulation that there will be “no increase to the UK’s share of fishing opportunities for jointly fished stocks (maintaining the existing quota distribution in UK and EU waters)”.

The document, obtained by the Guardian, adds that in order for the UK and EU to keep to commitments on sustainable fishing contained within the United Nations stocks agreement. “It is difficult to see any alternative to the continued application of the common fisheries policy,” it says.

So fishing will remain exactly the same on brexit. Over a 1/4 'UK' caught fish is landed on the european mainland remember?.

So we aren't getting our 350 million for the NHS,and we aren't getting our waters back. Ill keep updating this as we go along.

So Heseltine still continuing the anti Brexit fight until the end. I loved the criticism of Theresa May - the Home Secretary who campaigned to remain and how quickly she 'turned' to become a PM and suddenly change her strong pro EU stance to an opposite one! But this is a shameless career politician that we are looking at with no backbone whatsoever!! As for Germany 'running the show'? Well I think they've been in the driver's seat for a long time anyway and they've certainly had 'the last laugh' when it came to a full recovery and moving on to better times since the end of WW2!

Interesting how now the EU are starting to make their position on negotiations clear. None of the tories evasive "keep our cards close to our chest" attitude when parliament questioned them on the matter.

The EUs chief negotiator says a distinct chance the UK will leave with no deal. The implications of a "no deal" Brexit are manifold, the UK would end up leaving the stage of the globalised world and the large trading blocs will pull the strings.
