Not that we have beaten West Ham or others to his signature yet!

Phillips is a good pointer Stairs
£5 Million for a average Championship player was bandied around on here when he signed,.......
Fair points though BS as when your linked with Carvalho, Schnederlin etc it may seem disappointing.

However he probably will cost us £14 Million less so lets hope with the rest of the cash we can improve the rest of the team as a whole
Lets not forget where Livermore came from
Spurs youth academy
Oh did you know he also has a England cap ? 2012 V Italy

Did we release him for free ?  If so, missed out there unless there was an ongoing sell-on clause.

Cant remember but I think we sold him for Leicester for 1.5 Million or something ?

He doesn't want to stay, he's fat, he has a very bad attitude and we could possibly still get 8m for him......GET RID FFS!!!!!

I'M SICK OF HEARING HIS NAME

Wouldn't mind being as 'fat' as him - and that's not speculation.

Think Livermore would be a decent acquisition. Good athlete, box to box and can play a bit too. Broke into a very decent Spurs team a few years back and was bought by Hull when they were splashing the cash on big names. He's done a good job for them for years and even did a job at centre half this season to cover their paper thin squad. My main concern would be with his previous off the field problems, rather than his ability - hopefully that's all behind him though.

On the subject of Pulis buying midfielders, who would've thought Steven N'Zonzi, once a Pulis signing for Stoke would've become the player he is now. Really bossing games for Sevilla these days and one of the most sought after midfielders in Europe.

Not saying it's ok to take drugs but with two young girls myself I can fully understand why Thumb up

===================================================================

Jake Livermore will return to training with Hull City on Thursday after being told he will NOT face a ban despite testing positive for cocaine.

Failing an in-competition drugs test for a Class A drug carries a maximum punishment of a two-year suspension.

However, the 25-year-old England international turned to the drug as he tried to cope with the death of his new-born son and, in an unprecedented step, an independent Football Association commission has determined that was an overwhelming mitigating factor in their decision not to ban the player.

What do people think of Memphis Depay reportedly available, as he is not getting on with the "Chosen One", for around £15mil. I think ManUre paid over £30mil for him. He is also reported as being on 100k a week though :-(.

We are not big enough for Depay and he will more likely go abroad if he leaves Man Ure. I personally think 15m is about right as he's not exactly set the Premier League on fire plus we all know Man Ure pay more than double what the players are worth. £86m for Drogba!!! In today's crazy market that's at least £50m more than he's worth.

We need two new centre-backs. Gmac is creaking more frequently and Jonas is done. Despite his past I could see Curtis Davies as a replacement for one of them and partner him up with Evans. There aren't many CBs that are any good in our price range. The least we can do is buy one that can run and not make stupid decisions to leave the top English marksman free in the box. I was stunned by Gmac's performance on Saturday.
