2016/17 (Jan 30 Update) WBA January Transfer Window
Lawro`s take on the Baggies transfer window.....

Stat attack: The Baggies have the lowest average-possession rate (36.95%) and second lowest passing accuracy (69.95%).

Window shopping: Tony Pulis is in a position of strength, because of the Baggies' league position and because he has money to spend - and he should strike while the iron is hot.

Pulis is shrewd enough to want to see if the club's owners - who did not appoint him - will back him. They have had a good season so far and I can see him trying to do a few deals to try to push on.

If he can get Morgan Schneiderlin from Manchester United, he will go for him - and West Brom have the attraction of being a top-half club as well as offering regular football.

Linked with (Player, age, position and club): Rudy Gestede, 28, CF, (Aston Villa), Sead Kolasinac, 23, LB, (Schalke), Jay Rodriguez, 27, CF, (Southampton), Mamadou Sakho, 26, CB, (Liverpool), Jeffrey Schlupp, 24, LM/LB, (Leicester), Morgan Schneiderlin, 27, CM, (Manchester United), Lukasz Teodorczyk, 25, CF, (on loan at Anderlecht from Dynamo Kiev).

IMO all old news ecept for Teodorczyk. Never heard of him.

Interesting that there's a breakdown somewhere on the BBC site of how accurate their transfer rumours have been about prem clubs - 'news' about the Albion comes bottom of the table for accuracy! Who'd have thought it, eh?

Which proves what, vicar?  Do you reckon Albion start these unsubstantiated rumours or could it just be our Club's friends in the media?  You appear to be somewhat cynical about the Baggies for a man of the cloth!

I have faith in Albion doing their research and planning away from the public glare. In fact I take comfort in the fact that predictions on our transfers are so wide of the mark as it means we keep our powder dry.

IF, and it's a very big if, Berahino signed a new contract it would mean he has got his head together and what ever his beef with Albion was has been left behind. It would be like an excellent new signing, plus at £60k a week with no transfer fee it would be a great bit of business.

Not that I see it happening, but you can live in hope.

Perish the thought! All my cynicism is reserved for the meeja, Bomber. They don't care about the Baggies and can't be bothered checking any facts about us, so they get it wrong more than about any other team. Now, is that cynicism or paranoia...?
