Safe travels!!! Its amazing that everyone I know who has moved away from Blighty always pigs out on all the unhealthy food when they go back!!!! Sausage rolls, pork pie, various sweets, puddings with hot custard etc etc!!! And of course proper fish and chips!!

I suppose its just that the stuff you miss and end up craving when you go back are not only the unhealthy food but also the food that you simply cannot find much over here!!! When I lived there it was rare I would have fish and chips, but its something I always have when I go back, at least a couple of times!! And boy do I miss proper pork pie, I almost binge on that when I go back!!

Absolutely, it's all those treats you can't easily find here. there are online stores and British butchers in the states that ship meats but the prices are extortionate and the choices aren't always a vast array.
