Waiting for the over running Davis Cup to finish before watching the Ladies semis highlights. Should've been on at 6:00 but the tennis is still only in the fourth set. Could be a while yet.
Don't know the results either. Curling is one of the easier sports to avoid result spoilers. Rolleyes

But don't worry about posting the results, Ritchiebabes. I'll probably be fast asleep by the time Eurosport get it on.

Ooh, we're on. Not looking good. Russia 5-2 up after 3.

Sweden have won.

Oh, just seen the result on Twitter. Not the result of the match that Eurosport are showing, but the result of the Bronze Medal match, which Scotland have won.
So the match currently on telly they must have lost.

Thanks, Snooty. I had the same will they, won't they show the game on Eurosport, as it kept getting delayed. Don't they realise that curling is more important than tennis???

The briefest of resumes is that the Scotland Women won Bronze by beating the Czech Republic 6-2 after losing to Russia by 6-11 in the Semi-final. In this morning's Final, Russia beat Sweden 6-4 to claim the Gold Medal. Russia therefore retain their title, but with a totally different team.

The Men's Final between Norway, who will win their 10th consecutive podium position with this team, and defending champions Sweden is due to start at 3pm, more of that later tonight. Switzerland beat Russia 8-6 in the Bronze Medal game last night.

In the Women's B Championships Hungary beat Turkey 6-5 to win Gold and Estonia beat Netherlands 7-5 for the Bronze.

The men's Gold was won by Netherlands, beating Slovakia 7-6 after an extra end, with Czech Republic winning the Bronze with a 10-3 victory over Israel.

The final standings for the GB teams were:-
Scotland Women - Bronze
Scotland Men - 6th
England Women - 5th
England men - 9th
Wales Men - 10th

After a nip and tuck game, Sweden's skip, Niklas Edin, drew the shot with his last stone in an extra end to win Gold, beating Norway by 6-5. This win gives Sweden their third consecutive European title, equalling Scotland's feat from 1994 to 1996 (just had to get Scotland in somehow!).

From the B Division, Netherland's Men beat A Division Austria to qualify for the 2017 World Championships. Italy from the A Division beat Hungary from the B Division in the Women's equivalent tournament.
