I would keep Palmer at RB but I feel that SG's instinct is to bring Buxton back.

Guess it is deliberate unless the alzheimers has kicked in.

Anyway, Betra to go on loan to a L2 club strikes me as a good idea.

Buxton will be on the bench. I think, but I might be inclined to play him at RB and move Palmer further up in place of Maguire.

.....and Drenthe?

Drenthe is a left winger isn't he? Palmer will remain at RB until his form dips dramatically or is injured, then Buxton will replace him.

I presume we will stick to 442, if Drenthe does start on the left, that means Maghoma will be dropped, unless he plays Mags on the right instead of McGuire?

Drenthe will play down the left and Maghoma or Maguire down the right. Maghoma is right footed anyway so it won't b a problem. I suspect that SG will stick with Maguire.

I personally would play Drenthe and Maghoma and put Palmer in the midfield three when Buxton returns
