FIFA World Cup qualifier: Engerland v Scotland

Looking at the Scotland squad you sadly don't really have a team to speak of at the moment, but I still think you are going to win. England seem to be doing everything wrong - virtually telling everyone the job's Southgate's already, which will guarantee the defeat that will turn everyone against him, putting Rooney back in as captain, bringing back Wilshere who has managed is it 1 full game with Bournemouth ..... that's Bournemouth, marooning Rashford out wide and on the bench at Old Trafford, watching how Ibrahimovic does it, praising Joe Hart so much he's bound to be responsible for the losing goal ....... Oh it goes on.

You only have to survive to win. 0-1, poor delivery into the box, Hart and a defender don't communicate, ball falls to Griffiths who rolls it into an empty net in the 78th minute. England retaliate with a few pointless goalmouth scrambles, Jamie Vardy misses an open goal and is sent off a minute for head-butting a defender.

Otherwise I haven't a view on how things will turn out.

Uri Geller joins the Scotland cause and promises to impose a jinx on England in order to compensate for Scotland's loss in the Euro finals tie at Wembley when he said he forced the ball to move on the pen spot and consequently McAllister mishit his missed pen kick! Any help is welcome lol!
Thousands n thousands of Scotland fans flooding into London - the atmosphere should be bril and I hope they have something to shout about!! C'mon Scotland - take them on and get a decent result!! Thumb up

HT 1-0 and an absolutely undeserved lead for Engerland. Two spurned glorious scoring opps by Hanley (why head 15 metres above their cross bar?) and Sparky not rolling in Snodgrass after another English defensive error - wrong decision mate!!!! IMO you don't win matches if you spurn these kinda opps! Thumb down A very poor match all the same!

England were there for the taking...unfortunately we just don't have a defence to keep us in games, our attacking and pressing has been really good tonight.

The usual story I'm afraid. Scotland competing well but can't score. England very ordinary but score thrice. 2020 here we come.

Before this WC group even began, we seriously debated the iffy choice of CBs and particularly Hanley's vulnerability. His position exposed AGAIN by a very poor England team IMO based on the 'mince' that I watched tonight in a very poor game TBF - no different from the Euro flop shit that we observed in the summer. However, if we can't apply pressure on a team with such a nervy, iffy defence and score goals at the appropriate times, then we may as well 'throw in the towel' and just concentrate on drafting in more potentially good young players and continue to rebuild this Scotland team. Another glaring criticism of this match was a huge lack of real passion from both teams apart from the likes of Broony who certainly looked like he was 'up for it' on occasions with his continual prompting, arguing with the ref and certain England players + his meaty tackles - so much missing from this match tonight compared with the previous fixtures I've attended in years gone byThumb down

Just wondering if Nicola Sturgeon will demand that the football match is replayed because Scotland did not get the result she wanted.
