Getting controversial from the off maybe at Cheltenham, there were two definite British trainers with winners out of the days 7 races and 4 definite races with Irish trainers. One of them, Mr. Mullins won 2 races. The final race of the day was won by Transmission, trained by Neil Mulholland whose stables are in Bath, but he grew up in Co. Antrim - https://www.theirishfield.ie/racing/l2/n...ces-175826 - so I'm calling him an Irish trainer based in England.

Day 2 at the Donkey Jumping

Right off the bat, Dan Skelton notches up another home winner, but you can't keep Mr. Mullins down for long as he follows up with the next one only for Dan Skelton to notch another in the third race. Gavin Cromwell snags the 4th race for the Emerald Isle, then it's the big race of the day - The Champion Chase. Another one for the home chaps in the guise of Nicky Henderson. Dan Skelton notched up his 3rd winner of the day with Unexpected Party - how apt that name might be today, and finally Mr Mullins comes back again with Copacabana, the hottest spot north of Havana, to keep the Irish eyes smiling.

After a quick meeting of the Schitzophrenic Committeeeehhhh - as this is the only prediction where you have to guess a number (other than the Town decider at the end), they've decided to tell me to let you know, nearest guess gets the point. Half-way through rule changes/ammendments/clarifications are never popular but me and me 3 mates aren't winning anyway.

Day 3 in the freezing cold at Cheltenham as attendances fall through the floor and apparently everyone has gone to Benidorm to bet and watch in their budgie smugglers and bikini's, according to some newspapers. Be jaysus is there no decorum anymore? Can ye not wear a shirt?

1st race winner is Maughreen - do I really have to check that a certain Mr. Mullins is the trainer?
2nd race winner is Nurburgring - who was the last German trainer to win anything - oh, silly me, it's a fine upstanding pillar of the racing community called Joseph Patrick O'Brien. Wonder where he's from?
3rd race winner is D Art D Art - what? Thomas Cooper? Seriously? Just like that another well known (apparently) Cheltenham winning trainer makes it 3 from 3 for the Emerald Isle
4th race omg, The Ryan Air Chase, this could land anywhere. The winner is Fact to File and just looking at the silks it's not hard to see that Mr. Mullins is back in the groove again.
5th race winner is Teahupoo - (quite, who makes these names up?) - trained by Gordon Elliott from guess where? Yup 5 from 5.
6th race winner - Jagwar in some very familiar looking green and yellow hooped silks, but for a change it's not Mr. Mullins. Oliver Greenall and Josh Guerriero. What? Two trainers? They are based in Cheshire (hope for a home win). Apparently Mr. Greenall is heir to the Greenall brewery fortune and his mate has been around English racing for long enough to finally land one for the locals. Buy those lads an IPA.
7th race winner is Midnight Our Fred with ominous looking green and yellow quarters for silks. Sure enough JP Flavin mops up to make it .....

The same 3 survive but Snoots is up to his nose now and needs a full Irish sheet to win tomorrow. I wouldn't rule it out, after today.
