Bury can't really afford its players, nor can Scunny or Mansfield. Chesterfield can't afford its ground. Debt is endemic.

Exeter's away end is about to re-developed from the totally, genuinely abominable. They didn't sack their manager when they were in 92nd place. They made the play-offs but didn't perform at all in the final ...... but they still have the best young players in the division. And they aren't in debt and are owned by a Supporter's Trust.

IMO illusion is the rest of us. Reality is Exeter City.

Sam Morsy wants to leave Wigan. Ipswich, Forest and Bristol City are interested and Chesterfield will get 10% sell on.

You'd think Sam would want to stay NOW! He'll actually be in the team. I suppose he wants Championship football, but his three suitors aren't much of a guarantee are they?

Surprised Barnsley aren't interested again. He apparently had a good loan spell there.

Mark Randall has been released by Newport with 1 year remaining on his contract but he's got another L2 club lined up.

Don't know whether it would be a threat or promise. Very talented. Needs to play with better players but gives me the impression he thinks it should all just happen for him. And of course it doesn't.

Can't see Randall coming back but you never know stranger things have happened.

God help us if he did come back (see what I mean Dev). Nesher Randall has set the world alight wherever he has gone - not.
