Daily Mail reporting that Arsenal youngster Serge Gnabry joining us on loan.
Seems that he is a German youth international who plays on the wing.

Josh:- anything you can add to this??

He was playing quite a bit for Arsenal's first team a couple of years ago when he was 18.

Looked every bit a Premier League player but I think injury hampered his progress.

If he's over the injury and can get back to the level he was at before, he could be a very good signing.

Getting a bit like Ground Hog month. These stories seem to come out go away then come back around again. This one does seem to keep surfacing so hopefully some mileage in it. Unfortunately it means shopping around for replacements year on year so hopefully not to many loans and we can build a successful team with our own players.

I think gnarby was supposed to be their next oxlade chamberlain, young, quick, aggressive etc. Thought he would turn out to be am exciting player, but faded away I'm the last 12 months somewhere..

And to be fair we have got hardly any loans at the moment compared to previous campaigns

Gnabry set to sign today according to E&S' Steve Madeley on Twitter.

I'm always weary of us signing loan players as I believe you should always sign you own players permanently before looking to the loan market, but Gnabry would never come here permanently and imo would be a quality addition to the wing.

I would hope we are still in for Phillips or another permanent winger signing as well, which I have my suspicions Pulis is.

Would we need Phillips?

McMannaman
Mclean
Gnabry

we can only have 2 wingers on the pitch at one time, would we really want to buy yet another winger and have two sat on the bench??

Ha ha! Probably the most logical answer to the question - thank you, drewks!  Big Grin

Madeley says the Gnabry medical's done and the finer details are being ironed out, but confirmation will probably wait till tomorrow.
