As tonight proved. They are absolute muck from top to bottom. Even murty doesn't want the job.

Some papers suggesting they will move for mcinnes on monday after the aberdeen game. They will have to meet aberdeens compensation demand before they can speak to him of course.

shocking 2 performances from the sheep against the huns, todays with much of it against 10 men. It looks very much like mcinnes will be going there now and if so then definite shenanigans have been going on. mcinnes post match seemed to suggest it too. Before the game he couldnt even remember what changes he had made to HIS team
It was -dare i say it- like the aberdeen players knew he was for the off and didn't want to harm their chances of going with him. Or if they don't come for him,the hun media in scotland have done their dirty work for them.
Nothing new re Rangers (and their sycophantic media's) ability to manipulate and 'piss off people' and they are doing it again!! Deja vu and I think you are right re McInnes suddenly 'crossing to the dark side' after 5 weeks of unbelievable f###### about by Rangers hierarchy who actually look like they 'havnae got a clue' what to do. I think McInnes will be an absolute idiot to head south to manage this lot and all the 'loose baggage' that is attached to them and that 'will not go away' either! There is a wee 'ray of hope' in the fact that McInnes has just uttered scathing remarks re Rangers handling of their whole managerial appointment process and maybe he has finally hit a 'point of principle' and will stick with the Dons after all. We shall see! Lastly, IMO the Dons have definitely been f##### about by Rangers, to the Huns' current benefit, and I believe RFC should be the subject of an SFA investigation - it is not the first time that I have observed this toxic footie club and its media impacting on another Scottish footie club in this way and it is 'out of order' as McInnes has hinted today!
Rangers finally make an approach to AFC to interview McInnes and the Dons formally tell them to F### OFF - short n sweet and a refusal that says GTF! Well done!

Shameless public unsettling of a manager and his existing team, just as they did with us and scotty allan. Using traynor and his media poodles to ramp up the pressure.
£1M apparently offered in this approach???? Where are they getting the money from or is it a 'shady' instalment deal again? McInnes meeting his chairman, Stuart Milne, and I hope it is not a 'turn tail' approach after the 5 weeks of this disruptive nonsense!! Tell them again to GTF!! The c#### really believe they are bigger than what they are at this current time!

This situation is no different than what you see across football all the time when a manager gets fired. Look at the situation with Everton and Marco Silva, they eventually went a different direction but only because Silva himself decided not to push it with Watford to be allowed to talk to Everton but the media was full of stories about his impending move to Goodison. Ultimately these situations nearly always end up with the Manager in question requesting to be allowed to speak to the club wanting him, and if he decides he wants the position then invariably that is what will happen. Burnley have been through it with Dyche, we even went through it last season with Swansea and more clubs will see this type of media hype and approaches this season as other managers jobs become vacant.

It is different, in the sense that in england the sports media don't work unrelentingly for the benefit of one club via a PR company hired exclusively to said club. Clubs down south don't employ someone to play football for them while talking about another club constantly in the media (hiya kris boyd) or have a media printing pish like 'he's needs to quit now' when a managers still in place.
I suspect rangers haven't met aberdeens release clause which is why they are playing hardball, and they are perfectly entitled to. If mcinnes is stupid enough to rip up his contract then thats up to him. But non old firm fans in scotland know when we are being spun a line of pish, and this is another shining example. I don't believe for a second he has met milnes demands though. It will be the 'instalment' deal you mention.

I get that the affiliation is not directly there, but all the major clubs have those reporters that they leak and give information to so that it will push their agenda. Plus in England the media are relentless in "working" for the top clubs at the expense of the rest most of the time and manager changes come into this. In Scotland it is different, its a smaller market, fewer players from both a club level and a media level so these things are going to be more highlighted and often more blatant, but its still essentially the same with pressure being applied to the smaller club through the media and the usual back channels. |
