That's a pretty ridiculous actual-content-of-article to headline ratio, even for the DR. For those who can't even stomach looking at it, Kiernan basically said they hope they can score that many in any given match, and if everything clicks in the side and everyone hits top form, we might create 25 or so chances and score 8 or 9 in a match at some point.

They're that embarrassed about it themselves, they've issued a retraction:

Some positive thoughts from the Raith Rovers game:

Goalkeeper Distribution Ratings:
Wes Foderingham 0.83
Keith Cuthbert 0.14

Rangers controlled possession throughout & it started from the back whenever Wes Foderingham saw the ball.  He played the ball short 89% of the time, which led to possession in Raith’s half 88% of the time.  Keith Cuthbert went with a long ball 95% of the time (he played one short ball) & the results meant that Rangers regained possession 86% of the time, as Cuthbert’s GDR was only 0.14.

Just emphasises the huge difference a simple footballing ethos -and having the players capable of implementing it - can have on a team. And let's not get carried away here - these players are hardly world-beating internationalists. What they are though is competent young athletes - with a few rising stars mixed in - with the right attitude, working to a plan that clearly benefits all concerned.

Build from the back, retain possession and be controlled and patient. Dominant football. Intelligent football.

The best thing of all though, is that we're only just beginning to see what can be achieved.

It's nowt to do with Hearts, Moses, but a lot to do with Scotland and by extension, Rangers.
