Race recap:
Vettel took the lead off the line from third on the grid. Hamilton and Rosberg collided at the first corner:

which droped Rosberg down the field. Vettel pitted from the lead during a virtual safety car period, which cemented him onto a two-stop strategy. Hamilton stayed out and was able to control the race on a one-stop strategy to take the win ahead of Vettel. Bottas was third for Williams, the only other person to make the one-stop strategy work well.
Verstappen did well for Red Bull in fourth, keeping Rosberg at bay with the championship leader spinning on the penultimate lap while trying to get past the youngster:

Raikkonen and Ricciardo were both a little disappointing in sixth and seventh respectively.
Both Force Indias were in the points, Hulkenburg in eighth, and Perez not able to make a contrary strategy work in tenth.
Sainz did well to come from the back of the grid to ninth place for Toro Rosso.

King-arry takes ja606's first win of the season, moving them up to fourth place in the league.

Race recap:
A new track around the streets of Baku, combining a ridiculously long straight with tight corners and unforgivingly close barriers, the circuit is certainly a unique addition to the f1 calendar.

It was an easy win for Rosberg and Mercedes. His teammate Hamilton crashed in Q3 in qualifying, and had a difficult race to fifth place after struggling with the settings on his car and the radio ban meaning his engineer couldn't tell him how to fix the problem.
Driver of the day was undoubtedly Perez, once again getting his Force India onto the podium. This performance will increase the speculation of a move to Ferrari.
The Ferraris of Vettel and Raikkonen were 2nd and 4th respectively, Raikkonen like Hamilton struggled with the settings of his car.
Bottas was sixth and Massa tenth for Williams, perhaps a bit disappointing for a track that should suit their car, they struggled to get the tyres into the working temperature range.
The Red Bulls of Ricciardo and Verstappen were seventh and eighth.
Hulkenburg was ninth on a weekend where he probably would have preferred to defend his Le Mans 24 hours title, but couldn't because of the scheduling conflict.

Austria race recap:
The main talking point was the collision of the two Mercedes drivers on the final lap: with Hamilton on the outside trying to pass the race leader Rosberg approaching a hairpin, Rosberg didn't turn in to the apex and Hamilton turned into Rosberg.


The tv pundits and stewards blamed Rosberg for the collision, and he was given a time penalty, although this didn't affect his final finishing position of fourth after limping over the line with damage to his front wing. The crowd didn't see it the same way and booed the winner Hamilton on the podium.
Verstappen was second for Red Bull and Raikkonen third for Ferrari.
Driver of the day was probably Pascal Wehrlein: the Mercedes protege took Manor's first points of the season on a track which he knew well from his DTM days.

Cliptheapex's jambo gets his second win of the year, which gives him the lead for the Bernie medal and six tenths award, and extends cliptheapex's lead to 28 points over f1world.

Race recap:
Hamilton won the British Grand Prix for the third year in a row, and is now just one point behind in the championship.

Rosberg was demoted after the race from second to third place: the stewards deemed Mercedes had breeched the radio rules by helping Rosberg overcome a gearbox problem. This promoted Verstappen to second place for Redbull. Ricciardo was fourth and Raikkonen was fifth. Vettel had a difficult race to ninth place.
