Please let it be a better game than Burnley v Leeds last night. Not only were the only good players centre backs, but also both managers left their most imagintive players on the bench. Was Koleosho really on the bench for Burnley or have I imagined it? Maybe Scott Parker is just a result of too much cheese at bed time. And as for the refereeing ...... I reckon televised refs are psyched out by the lack of VAR, just as Premier refs have come to rely on it to correct their errors. With every player who is ever tackled or thinks he might have made a mistake lying on the floor and screaming for attention their job is becoming impossible. If supporters rated that game it couldn't achieve more than 0.2.
PLEASE PLAY WELL TONIGHT. PLEASE MAKE IT A GAME WORTH WATCHING RATHER THAN AN ERROR-STREWN PISS-PUDDLE.

Well that's dry January out of the way. Can we get back to scoring goals again in February?

We're in that dangerous position of where numbers can be made to suit. We're one win in six games, with the 'performances' last night, at the weekend and against Burton and Rotherham included. Doesn't look good.
We also have 4 wins in 10 which is slightly better and 8 wins in 15, so in the words of Wagner, "it makes zero sense" that being said, the product on show is drab. I saw plenty of formation changes last night but no attempt to change style, it was aimless punts to small strikers up against big defenders, aka pointless. The little lads have plenty of endeavour, but we looked better when bojan and Healey came on and offered a touch more presence, hell even bojan won the ball in the air and laid a few off. But the consistent is that lees, Pearson and hogg are limited and not conducive to passing football, don't get me started on Pearson and the crowd, I didn't see it, but it won't be the first time he's done it. I saw duff looking bewildered at the crowd when we played a short free kick and got nowhere and a fan shouted get it in the box. No doubt he'll make a comment against the fans again some time soon. Taylor being injured really makes you question what's going on. One fitness guy has gone, not made a difference. Head of strength and conditioning is doing it atm, he's the only consistent now, not exactly doing his thing right either is he? Transfer wise, we need 2-3 players in my mind, we won't sign any. I think we are crying out for a defender and probably need to raid a foreign market for one, probably Holland in the hope we find a left footed balker. Who now himself has to play more with lees out with whatever he has, he was concussion subbed so has to have a week to two out regardless doesn't he? So our only fit defenders are Spencer, Pearson and balker, lonwijk is still a few weeks away. So kev needs to see that there is need to replace helik. We have one more loan available theoretically, use it. Or is it two? We need a bigger striker to offer us an option especially if we are firing longs balls forward. Healey and bojan won a few but are they really that sort of player? Even if not, one needs to start with marshall or Charles regardless. I've seen a few wanting duff booted, but who really is there. People have mentioned Schumacher, was his football really much better than duff? Ryan lowe is available and is exactly the same, but with a bigger man. For me there isn't anyone who would turn this team into something whilst it's injury prone and limited. Kev won't understand the love for Wagner not would Dave be able to get his football across here, but don't forget it was sometimes effective and was heavily influenced by a bald Australian wizard. Far cry from a balding Bristolian. Anyway a week away from the window shutting, so what's the point? I guess it worked for Hoyle and Grayson, but it didn't work for nagle and Andre last year did it?

Nowt in an attacking sense last night....apart from first few mins when Charles should have scored from a header.
Hogg should have been sent off for that tackle on Iwata though....absolutely shocking challenge. Could have broken the lads leg.
