Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general
In a perfect world we'd let him go immediately and start legal proceedings against him (Bruce) fir breach of contract
Going up to Newcastle for a 'chat' then asking DC for permission to chat more.

This isn't the first time Bruce and Newcastle have done ths, it happened in 04 when he was at Brum

Bruce straight up lied to the fans, so fk him.

chansiri wont be making any statements today ..so we will have to wait at least untill tomorrows wraggs to find out what he intends todo?

where we are at the minute is this ........Bruce wants to leave or as rumours suggest he already has ? hes lost the fans after his bad media comment about respect Doh
Ashley wont be paying chansiris asking price so expect long drawn out legal proceadings meaning we wont see a penny for a long time Angry hindering the next manager who comes in as he will basically cost us any extra players in this transfer window Doh unless he comes from some obscure league in Bulgaria like owlskev suggested Whistle or he a lower league guy like shezza etc Thumb up

what we should be doing and i hope clownsiri did last night Whistle is asking Houghton his asking price and getting him in a wednesday shirt as soon as the Bruce departure is sorted ! that would calm the fans down at least but its still not going to help much with the season nearly here ..

I think we can write of any hopes we had of a fast start for the first time in seasons and start to get to grips with the new manager is going to need from here to xmas to see who he shipsout and whos available in the transfer window that costs a fortune and apart from loans is a waste of time Doh we will be lucky to make the playoffs ..brace yourselfs for another shite season basically because fom what i saw yesterday at lincoln which i go into.... didnt look any different from what i saw when carlos was here .

Linclon and stocksbride match reports ...

First of all the stocksbridge game was 100% spoton i heard Harris looks class Hutch and lee combined well looking like they are 6 leagues above the oposition ..which they should be ! and we scored five goals no injuries and looked sharp so perfect Thumb up

The Lincoln game pretty much the same about looking 3 leagues higher than the opponent looking sharp scoring goals and winning the game easy ......however Doh we hit the woodwork 15 times and in the end the way we buttled under pressure could have had us going off the field 3-3 as Lincoln caused problems to to our defence Doh

lees watching the high ball again and looking gourmless when being asked by those around him what the eff he was doing Doh ive said it a few weeks ago that he has to step up this season he wont have loovens or hector to pull him through as boner is going to need time to settle in

Palmer ball watching the lincoln goal to way slow to the ball Thumb down weve signed him for 3 effing years give me strength ffs Doh

wildsmith although pulling off some fine saves also showed that is westwood gets injured we are in trouble as he commands the box less than dawson if that was possible and is just a shot stopper ..no control over his defence whatsoever Doh

and my biggest problem which we havnt solved in the transfer market and it is the one place we need to sort out more than ever Doh The midfield and floaty balls and minge Doh Doh Doh while they played some great passes in the first few minutes linking well with each other they also looked like a pair of clowns and bannan once again lost the ball in that area which gets you effed in the championship while minge stood around ball watching Doh both then lost midfield in the second half completley carving out no chances and putting lees and bonner under pressure basically most of it ! Nothings changed we are at the same place weve always been with bannan Angry i dont know how he gets away with it to the chorus of weve got bannan bollocks ! and well minge just isnt good enough for this league Thumb down

I only hope bruce takes bannan with him to Newcastle as ive had my shitfull of the little poncy c.--unt !

Main positive of both games for me was Rhodes scoring! hopefully he can convince someone to splash out enough cash that will get us a decent central midfield player Thumb up

And last but not least Winnall scoring for fun will get another chance to hopefully get into the team of the next manager Thumb up and we can move fletcher on as again yesterday he was rubbing his legs like been shot and mark my words he will be injured soon ...we may look sharper yesterday but fitness will only tell when we are at the back end of october ..we are not nowhere near out of the woods with some of these injury prone players ..Flecther being one !

I enjoyed this comment yesterday on twatter thought it was spot on and very funny !

Amazing stuff from Bruce. Goes from a job where they hate him, to one where they love him and within 6 months manages to make them hate him too while going to a job where they also hate him. #swfc

And then there was this one which just somes up what a pile of shit the premier league has turned the other leagues into ..just using and abusing while the self preservation society big boys pat themselves on the back ..even waddle was fallig prey to this in an interview he did about it all saying nothing about us little mugs !

Dear @BBCSport @SkySportsNews @talkSPORT and the rest... just wondered why NONE of you in your little chit chats about Steve Bruce have questioned his moral integrity for jumping ship after Wednesday supported him? Same shit bias talk all about prem clubs.... what about #swfc?

Steve Bruce is Newcastle’s first choice to replace Rafa Benitez as manager – because Mike Ashley reckons he can offer him a relative pittance to take over.

Bruce seems certain to be appointed at St James’ Park at some point next week, telling the media on Saturday that he is waiting for the Magpies to reach “some sort of compromise” with current club Sheffield Wednesday.

The Daily Mirror say the 58-year-old ‘has agreed to take the role’ due to his ‘desperation’ to take over his boyhood club.

But his ‘basic wage’ will be about one-sixth of Benitez’s £6million a year, with Bruce taking home £20,000 per week.

That would make him the Premier League’s lowest-paid manager, albeit on an incentive-based contract that will reward him with ‘an extra payment for every place Newcastle finish above the bottom three’.

A mid-table finish would therefore see Bruce earn ‘a Benitez-style bonanza payment’ if Newcastle, who are ‘not prepared to pay anywhere near’ his £5m compensation clause, can somehow persuade Wednesday to lower that demand.

Bruce, who ‘still harbours regrets’ about turning down the job when Sir Bobby Robson left in 2004, will offer Graham Carr a return to the club in a ‘senior scouting role’.

Sorry I think he should have a bit more integrity and see out what he started with SHFW, friend had you down as automatic promotion this year even

Rumours Bruce, Agnew and Clemence have resigned. Nothing official though.
Nothing great will ever be achieved without great men, and men are great only if they are determined to be so. For glory gives herself only to those who have always dreamed of her.

Even the BBC Sport website now reporting they have resigned. Looks like we now need a new manager.

Resigned is the rumour ..sounds about right ! So we get nothing now unless we can prove ilegal talks took place before chansiri gave him permission ...

does this also mean the new trainer from manchester will walk out aswell ?

Doesn’t stop us getting compensation. We can hold out for compensation and he won’t be able to work until it is agreed. Him resigning just forces the issue.

Heard Newcastle are paying the compo

What a group of grimy little b*stards. Resigning in tantrum when it's Bruce being the xxxx Doh
He's shown his true colours as a person.

Gardening leave and start legal proceedings, refuse Newcastle in the meantime so the twats can be out of work for a year unless they pay out of their own pockets.
I can't believe the lack of professionalism and lack of moral compass... Fk me. The squad must be gutted before we've even played a game yet.

As I mentioned before, the knock on effect on our season ahead is unknown, we can't legislate for the damage. It could be fantastic for us but more likely it won't be and 5m will not cover another lost season.
So fk everyone back whom is trying to fk us. the respect and patience shown to Bruce initially to act like this is quite despicable.

I hadn't realized before he'd effectively done the same with his move from Palace to Birmingham so at least DC or his advisors were on the ball by having a release clause.  A lot of stuff posted but without much hard fact but I wonder initially if the Toon were told it would only cost them $1m not realizing that that figure only applied to another championship club poaching and it was much more if Premier (and rightly so).
No idea who I'd want for a new manager now but I hope its an up and coming one and not a 'name' dinosaur.  Timing sucks but this is SWFC Doh
