Im sure hes signed a contract that lets him leave when a top english team comes in for him .. he will just want to play for a season and prove he can do it with pearson who im sure has had a word with his dad that he will take care of him !

From the moment he wouldn't sign the contract on offer we were going to lose. Ironically if he had signed the contract he would no doubt have played quite a few games with the injuries we had last season, but he made his decision not to sign and the rest is a formality at that point.

Perhaps there’s a Stella Artois rider in the contract for his dad. Also the article says the club is owned by the Leicester City owner so there may be some loan swindle to get him there like Watford did with their related club players,including FF, originally.

Seems to me that we've been shafted by Leicester who were rumoured to be offering £2 million a year ago and will now get round the compensation rules and sign him for peanuts and have no sell on clauses to worry about when they cash in when the big boys come calling  Our own stupidity is alive and kicking

The local paper are reporting that we may only get £160,000 in compensation for George Hirst's departure.
