I don't really know what you read above but I never said we were good enough. I said the opposite in fact. That's not to say we couldn't have been good enough, but we didn't do the job we needed to do while others did.
Scotland fail - again

Well that's the Netherlands confirmed as non qualifiers after failing to win at home against a Czech side down to 10 men for the whole second half (though Turkey's made it academic anyway), with 'Europe's Greatest Defender' Virgil van Dijk gifting the Czechs a 2 goal start to demonstrate why he's been overlooked by the national side for years.
Quite a dramatic collapse in form for the Dutch since the World Cup. They hadn't lost a home qualifier since Portugal won in Holland in 2000 until Iceland beat them last month, and now it's 2 in a row. Not the first time we've seen sides do well at a World Cup only to take a dip in a form in the following years.

It will be great to see the Welsh and Irish taking part again.

I think it'll give coverage of the event a bit of a different dynamic from what we're used to. Might be especially good if England draw one of them in their group.

Don't think we did so badly compared to where we were with levein. Germany and poland were always going to qualify and we gave them good games and competed home and away. Still think we should have pushed more for a win in dublin where an offside goal cost us.
Only the georgia result stands out as particularly a bad one. But strachan needs to get some new blood into the team pronto. Thing is i'm just not sure who comes into that bracket at the moment. Ireland as well as taking points of germany beat georgia home and away,so they could probably argue they are better than us.

Pish Jim Strachan is a terrible manager,if I were a man who could bet his mortgage i'd have bet it on Strachan failing if we had Martin O'neil we'd be qualifying no the Republic.
We took 4 points off Ireland and they still finished in front of us,we have pretty good players and a good not even a great manager would have had us 3rd minimum,Strachan has failed in every post he's had apart form the one he couldn't ever fail with Celtic.

Who would you prefer Fred?
Don't think he has been quite the failure at other clubs that you make out either. He also took Celtic to the last 16 twice in the champions league...something oneill couldn't manage. He also got a pish Southampton side the cup final and kept them up.

Berti Vogts at least he got us to a play with a heap of shite, although that's correct i'm kidding, not entirely sure who is available but we shoudln't just be exploring a Scots manager if and when he is replaced.
He got Coventry relegated he left Southampton when they were fcuked, and all but destroyed Boro, and he couldn't fail with Celtic if yer honest, end of the day he is pish. And lets not forget Artmedia if yer on about quarter finals lol.

Berti vogts ffs......
That ends any serious discussion.

I did say I was joking, but he DID get us to a play off with worse players that is a FACT Jim.
