We know what refs are like in this division Snoots. The one where he gave them a free kick in the 2nd half on the halfway line and the 4th official told him it was the other way summed him up. Defence got lucky a couple of times, our attack should have scored a couple of more times. No problem with the result. On the penalty having seen a replay, our defender held one of theirs but I've seen these ignored against us dozens of times. The booking for Nicholls when their keeper was doing the same thing until we scored tells you even more about the ref. I'm guessing he had a few quid on it somewhere.

So the penalty was given for Spencer shirt pulling. As far as I see it, it was exactly like the one Ward could've got against Morecambe. Yes there was a bit of tugging but he fell over backwards like he was backing into him. It's just a backwards fall. Just like Wardy, not a penalty.

It looked a a bit more like all in wrestling, Saturday afternoon grapple and grunt on ITV after the donkeys had finished running, Dickie Davis and all that on the Sky highlights on my phone yesterday. They showed it several times from different angles when I was sat outside The Plumbers before getting the bus back over The Ainleys. When I look again today, if you blink you miss it, even on the YouTube extended highlights.

We thought he'd given it against Nicholls at first. And so did he.
He was very erratic with some of his decision making yesterday.
