2016/17 (Jan 30 Update) WBA January Transfer Window
Saido BerahiiGO ....... wanted him to wake up, smell the coffee, knuckle down and become a great player for the Albion but his head has been completely screwed so it's time to leave ..... could be a good deal with a double edged sword. 8 or 10 million up front depending which story you read rising to 15 mil if he and Stoke prosper. One side we clear a disruptive influence but on the other edge we only get full fee if Stoke do well. Would you rather he and Stoke bum so miss out on five mil or they do well and we get five mil ........ Me, I am undecided which I would prefer.

For some reason I'd actually like him to do well, irrespective of the £5m (but that reinforces my wish!) .....but I'd like Stoke to not improve - don't know enough of the conditions to know if we'd still get the extra dosh?

I'd assume the payments would be based on appearances and goals for Stoke, international caps, and then probably a few related to the success of the club. Hope we've got a sell on clause incase he flourishes there, which is a definite possibility, and goes on to a big club.

A good signing like Livermore might induce other players - his ex-team mate for example to also sign for us.

However with Oli on the way out, or left out, what would the line up be for the best team?

Sky confirm stokes signing of saido, 12 mil rising to 15 with add ons

In his interview at Stoke he says " I am not match fit "

Why not !!!! And how long will it take.

For me that explains a lot particularly as regards the Club's attitude towards him and his behaviour.

Hoping the Club already have a replacement striker already lined up.

New club, new environment, maybe that's what he needed. I also hope he doesn't come back to haunt us in the future as he has the talent.

Blimey two important transfers in ONE day and befor e the end, that must be a first. Thumb up

To be fair even naturally fit players, (obviously not Berahino) need to play a few games to get properly match fit. I really hope we have a better replacement than Ighalo, it would just be nice to sign someone who can excite us.
