Lambert WHO?? Incidently I live in Lamberts End. DD Whistle Whistle
Ubique.
Daily Star has some weird stories:

Pulis has 30 mill to spend in Jan (more if Berahino sold)

We want aaron lennon for 10m (or a swap with Berahino presumably with some money

Crouch

and Morrison going to Schalke with a first bid of 4m.

Mirror also says 30m but next 2 windows and Berahino will go. Lennon for 9m and Inter Milan left-back Yuto Nagatomo.

I've assumed almost none of this is true.
West Bromwich Albion are chasing Inter Milan full-back Yuto Nagatomo, according to reports

(Don't you just love that phrase 'according to reports'? No? Nor do I)

Shoot? Angry
Wasn't that one of the original football comics from the early 70's that I used to buy for 6d? Blush

I think "Daily Star has some weird stories" might be true Blush
WEST BROM have given new boss Tony Pulis the green light to auction off Saido Berahino to fund his survival bid.

Spurs and Liverpool are keen — with offers starting at £20million.

also Bony is available
Jut as a comment, it seems as though all the papers are saying TP has a huge transfer kitty to spend in January in order to keep us up; £30m keeps on being mentioned.
I've no idea where this comes from, or whether it's the usual - media crap just being made up.
However if there IS some truth in it, the comforting thought that I've got is that IMO TP would never go out and do a 'arry, and spend stupid money on mediocre players (....and STILL go down!). I think TP is a pretty sensible guy and would only buy those players who would definitely do a job for us.
I know that he did spend money at Stoke on players that were poor, but he just now seems to have that calmness and rationality about him. I look forward to seeing the ins & outs, but I don't expect there to be as many as some are suggesting.

Someone like Lennon would be a firkin good start though!

PS
Mozza to Schalke?? Seems a very odd one - too odd to make up?
Di Matteo is the Schalke manager, which make sit a bit less odd but I can't imagine him near a champions league team.

I've always liked Aaron Lennon but from what I've seen and heard he's fallen off recently. Maybe still worthwhile though if his wages aren't too high.

I agree there won't be too many players in, I saw 3 mentioned somewhere (I think Guardian), probably a fullback, a winger, and a striker.

I read shoot a couple of times but I don't think they print anymore, I'll always struggle to believe that we're gonna buy someone from Inter and I doubt him or Poc would happily sit on the bench.
Morrison to Schalke is a strange one but RDM did like Morrison when he was the club so it wouldn't surprise me if he wanted to take him to Schalke. Schalke also lack a player like Morrison in their team as their other central midfielders are all very similar in play style or ability with 2 holding midfielders and 2 energy players. Morrison has more to his game than just energy, whether he is Schalke quality is open for debate.

Nagatomo is equally at home at right back as well as left back (he is right footed) so there could be some truth in it. He is very attack minded so should fit in with Pulis' plans if he wants attacking fullbacks.

If we can get Lennon, he will be a great start to the transfer window and will give us the fast right winger that Pulis probably wants.
3 in (Huth, Nagatomo and Lennon) and 3 out (Morrison, Berahino and Ideye) - http://www.tamworthherald.co.uk/West-Bro...story.html
2 Defenders and another winger linked - see top of thread for links

Bloody hell, that would leave us with Anichebe as our only recognised striker - and he is only fit for 1/3 of matches. Laugh

Tbh, I don't believe a single link - in or out - that I have read so far. TP will definitely have money to spend or he wouldn't have come + someone makes up that it is £15m Jan = we are the easiest target for the dross transfer rumours that the press like to make up.

I can't see us allowing Saido to go, I think it will be 3 in and 3 out. Probably at least 1 right winger, maybe a striker and either a centre back or a defensive/attacking midfielder. Likely outgoings (whether I agree with them or not) look to be Blanco, Gamboa and Davidson, possibly Ideye if we get a good offer.

Personally, I would like to see Dorrans leave instead of Blanco and Baird leave instead of Gamboa - with Ideye retained as I think he will come good. Davidson, I'm not too bothered either way, I was slated on new606 in the summer for saying he was nowhere near good enough to be our starting LB (when it seemed like he was our prime target), however if the club feels he is coming on well then I have no problem with him staying as Poco's understudy.
