24/10/2016 : At Livingston's Hearing for fielding an ineligible player in their Challenge Cup win against Crusaders, our old favourite, sportingintegrity.com reappeared.
SPFL - Livingston charged by SPFL at disciplinary hearing
The replay has been arranged for Tuesday, 1 November with a 7.45 kick-off.
SPFL Chief Executive Neil Doncaster said: “In the interests of sporting integrity and fairness to both sides, the game will be replayed.”
Allowing Livingston to replay their Challenge Cup match against Crusaders instead of being expelled from the competition sets a dangerous precedent ... and is open to this farcical situation :
If Crusaders field an ineligible player in the replay and win the match, will they then be fined and ordered to replay the match too ... and if not, by what logic why not ?!
