There are certain fixtures that you look out for when they are released in June this is one of those standout fixtures. The Villa come to Deepdale for the first time since about the 74/75 season, strangely do not remember playing them but remember the previous encounter the 1 all draw in 1970 when we won the League 3 title. The last meeting of any note was the league cup tie in about 2004 when we surrendered 5-0 at Villa Park.

North End have Beckford, Gallagher injured along with illness victims Grimshaw and Spurr, following Tuesday good performance he could keep the same team but will he, fancy a draw for this one.
