Possibly like others, I feel that the current spat between Pulis and Williams is extremely damaging to morale. Whatever the rights and wrongs of the situation, I can't help but think that Pulis has handled this incredibly badly and his displayed a complete lack of leadership with the players. I'm sure he is frustrated, I'm sure these are not the players he wanted to sign but to go public with these views as a means of retaliating against Williams is, I believe, completely crass. In all honesty, how does he think these new additions will now feel? "Well, lads, I didn't want to sign you because I wanted to get better players but you're here now so we'd better make the best of it". Cracking motivational stuff. If he's hacked off with Williams, then have a 1:1 with him and tell him how pissed off he is but then it stays private. Don't get me wrong, I think Williams has also acted poorly but, in his defence, he clearly felt, as chief Exec, that he had to make a public statement because of the supporters' discontent overvthectransfer window. He could, however, have made a far less inflammatory statement. Perhaps the new signings will come out fired up, aiming to show Pulis how wrong he is but somehow I feel not. All in all, a complete shambles.
