Atkinson built a side, much in the way that Clough did at Forest. Whilst I'm not saying Atkinson was in the same class as Clough, he certainly had his similarities. I'm certain we would have won the league over the next couple of years if he hadn't left for Villa.
Francis came in and brought in some of our best ever players but couldn't quite get them into a side in the way Atkinson could.
