I spent my formative years in Wakefield and went to Queen Elizabeth's Grammar which is now an independent. We had a study centre for the VI form converted from a couple of terrace houses with desks upstairs and a lounge downstairs. We spent a lot of time playing charades.
Perhaps that's why I foooked up at Uni. I was bright enough to get good grades at A level without really having to do any work. A BSc course in Civil Engineering at a top Uni came as a bit of a shock.
