Race recap:
The Williams pair of Massa and Bottas got great starts off the grid to get ahead of the two Mercedes of Hamilton and Rosberg. Hamilton came back at Bottas before losing the place again when attacking Massa:
Hamilton eventually managed to jump the pair at the pit stops to take the lead (Williams again showing their tactical naivety). Then the rain came... Rosberg used the Mercedes superior downforce in the damp to overtake both Williams to take second place and Vettel came from nowhere to claim third. Massa finished fourth and Bottas just held onto fifth from Kvyat in the Red Bull in sixth. The Force Indias had a good race in their B spec car, with 7th and 9th. Raikkonen in the second Ferrari fared badly in 8th after gambling early on changing to the intermediate tyres. Alonso claimed his first points finish of the season in 10th despite an early pit for a replacement front wing.
Ericsson in the Sauber was disappointed to miss out on points in 11th: another one to suffer with gambles on the intermediate tyres.
The Manor Marussia drivers trundled home 12th and 13th, two laps down.
As for those that retired: a first lap crash took care of both Lotus drivers and Button's McLaren, Nasr's Sauber didn't make the grid with gearbox issues, the Renault engines of Ricciardo (Red Bull) and Sainz (Toro Rosso) failed and Verstappen in the other Toro Rosso span off.
In the news, Lotus are facing a winding up order from creditors; Maldonado's millions in sponsorship should be enough for them to survive but there are rumours that they will be bought by Renault.
