Not sure I could name the big name jockeys these days. Certainly the ones that were in this race were all either American, Mexican or South American. The winning jockey was Mexican, Victor Espinoza, who is one of the top jockeys over here. Most of the horses are American but there are always some from the Middle East, especially Dubai.
The US Triple Crown is similar to the UK version which includes the 2000 Guineas, Epsom Derby and St Ledger. Its a huge story here as it hasn't been won for so long. But the UK version hasn't been won since Lester Piggott on Nijinsky in 1970 and the one before that was in 1935!!! Not sure if its the same over there, but here if you win the first leg of the Triple Crown, the Kentucky Derby, then you automatically go for the second and third leg, just that not many win all three!
