Not sure how I feel about the Armstrong signing, do I rate him as a championship striker, absolutely, but his signing means we know who will be our starting striker as this is the third time TM has brought him to a club he is at. We have another CF on loan from Spurs who will not be happy if he is not getting considerable game time, meaning all of our own players will be sitting watching until the end of the season, when these loanees leave for their parent clubs and we are back to the drawing board, mind you if we don't get promoted there maybe a chance we hang onto Armstrong. Not saying these are not good signings just a little apprehensive on the moral side of things.

I think it gives TM the opportunity to rotate the squad during what usually becomes a really hectic coming period in the Championship. We also know how our injuries have been and it gives him some flexibility to rest players, particularly if they have a slight niggle. It also means he doesn't necessarily have to rush players back (thinking Maja and Dike). Sure, some players will be dischuffed but if it helps them raise their game, then all well and good. As regards Armstrong, if, as expected, Southampton are relegated, I strongly suspect they'll want him back.
