We had that discussion a few years ago. It's not against the rules but somebody had to be reminded that it's just a game and there's no cash prize at stake. 

So it would be okay to do that if we added a cash prize?

What about morality? A sense of values? Respect for one's opponents? Gentlemanly conduct? Honour? Jeez I sound like a refugee from the Bunter books.

One of my biggest wishes is to see a corner awarded in a match and amid all the fighting, and pulling and holding, the referee sends a player off for ungentlemanly conduct. He'd be my hero, but of course he would immediately get cooted.

With my luck the first time I forecast 10-10 the result would 0-0.

Or like today's result. 1-0 with an own goal.
