Vertu? Who they then? Me neither so I went digging.
Apparently Vertu own a chunk of Bristol Street Motors franchises, amongst others, however another company with the same name is a manufacturer and retailer of luxury handmade mobile phones, established in 1998 and formerly owned by Finnish mobile phone manufacturer Nokia. Previously located in the UK, ownership of the brand is now contested between two entities located in Hong Kong and France.
My money is on the lads with the monkey wrenches, oily rags and dodgy 2nd hand car salesmen. Which reminds me, I need to visit some dodgy 2nd hand car salesmen to swap my 8 year old Astra for something with a few less miles on the clock. Pity Boycie's not still around, he came across as one of the more genuine folk in that business.
