Dundee United v Hibs - Saturday 19 October
#3
Some quick passing comments from me after another sham of a match - Hibs will be relegated based on current observation!! A keeper who can’t make a save who was clearly not good enough (no recognisable "presence"/stature at all!!) from his first intro to the team - Gray absolutely culpable in not recognising this weakness as he stupidly picks him in every game as though something is gonna change!!??? And not enough goals going in at the other end!! No players of any stature, no leaders!!! Gray training them for months and yet they are a defensive sham with no backbone whatsoever - a tendency to capitulate under pressure and a woeful subs' bench plus Gray making the same errors on substitutions thereby weakening the team late on in almost every match!!! What happened to him??? Is he "out of his depth"??? If relegation gets rid of the Gordons then I'll take it now as too much corporate activities and selling the "product" to the Hibs fans for far to long while shamelessly acting as though there is not a football crisis at the club - just study Hibs website activities to realise how the very soul of our football club has been ripped away in a Scottish football league that isn't exactly that great a standard anyway!!
Immediate action required in my humble opinion - by someone with proper authority and footie nous, and most importantly, by someone who has a true interest and love for Hibernian FC. Is it also an appropriate moment to have a serious conversation with Bill Foley (he is an interested benefactor after all!!) who has been absolutely correct in previous critical comments re the way Hibs CE, Ben Kensell, and the Gordon family, have handled the whole footie setup from the summer onwards???? Action please or this team is definitely facing relegation!!!
Additional side comment: The refereeing in this match, from start to finish, was absolutely dreadful!! I detest talking about Scottish referees for various reasons, but this particular refereeing display really raises concern how such a terribly inadequate referee can be allowed to officiate a football match at an expected high level in the top league of the SPFL - baffling and frustrating to watch this kinda "spoiler" affecting another game!!
