After finishing eighth last season in their first full campaign under Michael Carrick, Middlesbrough will be hoping they can break into the Play-Off spots this term.
They’ve made a promising start to the campaign, enjoying wins over Swansea City and Cardiff City, and they managed to keep hold of key men such as Emmanuel Latte Lath and Hayden Hackney in the transfer window.
Boro also added a number of promising young players, including Liverpool loanee Ben Doak and Bristol City’s Tommy Conway.

Tom Nield will take charge of the second PNE match of his career, after first refereeing North End in 2018 when the Lilywhites beat Morecambe 3-1 in the Carabao Cup.
So far this season, he’s taken charge of four matches, showing 13 yellow cards in that time.
