Josh Austerfield has joined League Two Salford City from Huddersfield Town on a two-year deal.
The 22-year-old is the latest signing for the Ammies manager Karl Robinson and completed his move in time to be available for Saturday's match against Bradford City.
Austerfield signed youth forms with the Terriers in 2019 making six appearances for the club before going on to have loan spells at Harrogate Town, Morecambe and Crewe Alexandra over the last three seasons.
The midfielder was part of the Alex side beaten in the League Two play-off final by Crawley in May.
“As soon as I heard the interest, and I know the gaffer here and a few of the lads as well, that made it easy for me to come in," Austerfield told the club website, external.
“It is a great place for me to have a platform and show what I am about.
“I feel like when I look at the squad, even just from today, I know that we are going to have a good season, and I feel like we will be right up there."
Salford have lost their first two games of the new season - against Port Vale in the league and Doncaster in the EFL Cup.
