Swindon Town have brought in Sheffield United defender Miguel Freckleton on loan.
The 20-year-old, a left-sided defender who can also play in central defence, moved to Bramall Lane in 2021 but has yet to make his first-team bow.
Freckleton made 16 appearances in Chesterfield's title-winning season in the National League last season while on loan, and has also had loan spells with Yeovil Town and Wealdstone.
"Already in his professional career he has shown great maturity in playing a variety of defensive positions during his loan spells, particularly last year at Chesterfield," said Swindon's head of football Jamie Russell.
"He has also played almost 50 times in the National League and cup competitions, coupled with earning promotion last season, and we believe the move suits us.
"He has a lot of attributes to work in our system and we also feel he is now ready for the step up into the EFL."
