Lincoln defender Lewis Montsma has signed a new short-term contract to extend his stay for the next six months.
Montsma has made 83 appearances since joining the Imps in the summer of 2020, scoring 11 times.
The Dutch defender missed the whole of last season due to a second anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury, having made just eight appearances in the 2022-23 campaign.
The 26-year-old's contract expired this summer, but he has penned a new deal as he nears a return to training.
“The support of the club has been brilliant, and it works both ways - they know what I can do and how hard I work, and they’ve put a lot of trust in me," Montsma told the club website.
Director of football Jez George added: “Our fundamental aim is to get him back playing, and for that we need more time, hence the contract extension."
