I know there is a shedload of speculation over CC moving to Leicester but I fear it will turn out to be true. In all truth, I couldn’t blame if he was to go; they’re a Premier League club and they will have money to spend from owners who have consistently been supportive. Contrast that with his experience at the Hawthorns under Lai, nothing short of miserable. It’s a real blessing we have a new owner who has done more in three months than Lai did in his whole tenure, but I suspect the damage done by Lai will take a fair while to recover and Patel won’t, and can’t, throw money at it.

My other concern, apart from losing an excellent coach, is the possible knock on effects with players out of contract (Mowatt and Kipre) and potential signings, such as Mickey Johnston. Will they see the loss of CC as reducing their interest to either stay with or join the club?

Unsettling times at the moment

Baggie Steve, you have made some good points here. Certainly with players out of contract, and new player links.

I hope Shilen and Cc have built a good relationship and can build something together with us.

Cc is being linked to Burnley and Leicester. On oddschecker Cc seems well down the odds for the Burnley job and therefore should be less of a worry.

However with Leicester I can see the appeal of the premier league, with bigger budgets, more qudos, despite their financial troubles. On oddschecker Steve Cooper seems odds on to go, but Cc is second favourite. So keep an eye on what Cooper says.

I hope Leicester take Cooper allowing us, Cc and Shilen to build together.
