Having hammered Bodmin Town of the 10th tier on the football pyramid, Huddersfield Town now face a stiffer test in Tavistock AFC, who play in the 8th tier. That's the Southern Football League South Division, which is two below the National League South. Last season they finished in 6th, just missing the Play Offs by one place.
The club was originally formed in 1888, but ceased to be in 1932 due to debt. They reformed in 1937 and then merged with three other local teams in 1939. The predident of the club, Herbert Thomas Langsford, purchased the land on which the current ground is situated just after the war, donating it to the club in 1947. It was, and still is, named Langsford Park in his honour. There is a carved commemorative stone at the ground, dedicated to him. The gound has a capacity of 2,000, with a 200 seater stand.
They are managed by Stuart Henderson and tickets for this grand occasion are priced at a tenner for adults and six quid for concessions.
The Town players will be modelling the new Acid Lime away kit in this game, but we may have to wait again to see it as the match will not be streamed live.
