Owlstalk is intolerable to me (I'm sure they feel the same about us here lol) it's just one huge echo chamber of delusional happy clapping and whenever someone goes against the grain they get mobbed. So I never bothered making an account there.
We'd never be able to discuss the holy messiah 'Darren' in the manner we do here. It'd be a burning at the stake for blasphemy, he did get us 96pts after all
Bedsides, I love a good whine and I can do plenty of it here without getting banned.. almost
It's disappointing to see there's still a large (Too large for me) section of fans supporting DM and saying "If only Chansiri back's him in the market we'll go up next year"
It drives me spare, how on earth can anyone want to subject themselves to watching another season of Darrenball?
It's horrible to watch and more negative than I could ever be!! That's saying something.
If the vocal minority start validating Chansiri to keep the buffoon employed then we really are in the crap.
Skinflint chairman is already looking to gouge fans £700 for Darrenball in Division 3.
More than some Prem clubs and many Championship clubs, how the fk is that justifiable??
His poor running of the Club, cooking of the books and fiscal irresponsibility helped us come full circle. How on earth he thinks gouging the working class during a recession to pay for HIS mistakes is beyond me. I understand the Club needs investment from sources external to himself but that is not the way. This isn't corporate real estate.
He continues to show that he isn't actually part of the community and doesn't have a clue how to run a football club. He is the reason we're stagnant today. He lets his son play Football Manager. The direct talks with the fans stopped when he took the hump with us.
I can go on and on about the absolute ineptitude of the Chairman and this is why we need him to go if this Club is to move forward.
Structure, ambition and the correct personnel to execute the Club's goals.
This is what we need and it's so agonisingly blatant it should be embarrassing.
So.. we need pressure in this Chairman. Not effing support him or this nightmare is simply never going to end for us. Each step forward is followed by two steps back.
The pigs are loaded and in the Premier League yet again.. Even Rotherham are up and stayed up in the Championship
We are rotting away with absolutely no leadership or ambition and it kills me how 'fans' have become so complacent with this sub standard existence of our once great football club.
We're now in need of a rebuild and restructure to move forward.
Patching it up and throwing some perfume on the odor isn't going to solve this problem.
Agree with most of this, I know I am the resident "Happy Clapper" Imre and others refers to all the time but someone has to offer an alternative view and keep you lot in check!! I am pragmatic in my life, I am an optimist in most things and I like to think I am a realist as regards what I want.
So the pragmatic me will say again and again, we are stuck with Chansiri, he has put over £200m into the club and had we shown up at Wembley in 2016 he would have been hailed a hero. No one is going to buy us as he will ask too much for us unless he is prepared to walk away from the thick end of £150m. So that invariably is a pointless debate. I do think he loves the club and cares about how we are doing and on that basis rather than trying to oust him he should be encouraged to appoint a Director of Football to run the football side of the business and let him run the commercial aspects. He should have kept Howard Wilkinson on when he took over.
My optimistic me says if we score early on Thursday and maybe get to 2-0 then we will have a chance. We have scored 3 or more goals 12 times this season, have only lost once at home and at times threatened to hammer teams. This time if we can get an early lead and keep the foot on the gas you never know.
The realist in me though accepts that I assume Moore's remit this season wasn't 96 points, it wasn't 19 clean sheets or a 23 game unbeaten run, I am fairly sure it was promotion. It also wasn't top 2, it was simply promotion and that is still available to us however unlikely that is as we stand today. Once the season is over then Chansiri has some decisions to make. Moore might not be the best tactically but for the first time since Carlos was around the club developed a sense of togetherness that we haven't seen for a while. Players seemed to want to sign and play for him and he is well respected by the football community. The danger of switching is getting Jos or Gary or god forbid Tony Pulis type back in and we lose what momentum we have built. We have 14 players out of contract or with expiring loans, let them go whoever the manager is and let the squad be built again but you don't dismantle a side that got 96 points however spawny you think that is.
Stateside, if this is where you get things off your chest and keep yourself sane then have at it, although I would argue walking outside your front door and screaming into the Scottish Highlands would work as well!! I have never banned anybody and I will never do that for expressing an opinion but I absolutely will not stopping being a pragmatic, optimistic and realistic twat!! Besides, it pisses off our resident grouch Imre and even I need some entertainment at times!!!
