I must add that this shooting highlights the difference in attitude towards a military invasion and an illegal occupation. Two countries are invaded by hostile forces and both these occupiers possess nuclear weapons.
In the first and longest war of occupation, the people of the invaded country are labelled as terrorists and ignored by the West. I've watched this situ from afar during my lifetime up to now - it is not right!! In the more recent invasion, the invaded country (Ukraine) is lauded as having heroic defenders. The invader of one scenario gets hit by sanction and named a pariah state, the other gets huge loans and weapons from the West. Why are our responses to Russia and Israel so different?????
