It just goes to show what a hiding to nothing poor old Irvine was on. He had nothing to do with our latest transfer window fiasco but was proper hung out to dry by just about everybody. His lack of experience in such a high profile role coupled with our scattergun approach to buying players could only ever have ended one way.

I agree with all those statements Tidy, but Alan Irvine was completely the wrong appointment, for which Terry Burton and Jeremy Peace are responsible. Moreover, I have said elsewhere that I reckon Terry Burton is walking on thin ice now. I simply fail to see what he brings to the table. We certainly saw what he brought to the table last summer.
