The Martians have Landed in Wigan - Bernard Wrigley
You might have had to have been visiting folk clubs at a certain time of your life to know the connection, but they were both Lancashire lads doing the circuit. Mike Harding got a bigger break by sitting on a stuffed Alsatian dog on Top of the Pops (Lochdale Plowboy) - he later apologised on his next tour.
As Mr. Wrigley used to say (possibly still does) when he got his little chest organ out - "It takes a hammer, a chisel and a fortnight to tune this bugger."
Damn, maclad beat me to it again, but i'm leaving mine in again for the research that went into it.

A guide to cask ale.
“In the best pubs, you can spend entire afternoons deep in refreshment without a care in the world.”
