This was originally scheduled to be played at Garstang but for reasons unknown the fixture was reveersed and played at AFC, this Tier 3 derby had a capacity crowd of 150 in attendance on a chilly but dry and widyless day.
A bright start by both sides but it was the visitors who potted first, quality goal as well by Winder controlled a lofted pass looked up and casually chipped the keeper from 25 yards
Home side were level mid way through the half after a period of pressure Duffield scoring even though he lost his balance still manage to beat the keeper
End to end although the visitors always looked the more likely to score and three minutes before they did another quality goal although the home bench thought there was an offside with a Garstang player being stood in front of the home keeper when the ball was scored by Murphy. The assist went to Hothersall who neatly tricked a home defender with a deft bit of football
Thwe femae liner got grief for not giving the offside, the home side were less than happy when on the stroke of half time the Garstang keeper appeared to elbow a home forward.
Mass protests with the officials by home players and management as the whistle went for half time.
Garstang made it 3-1 shortly after the break after a couple of blocks Winder got his second from closer in this time, that goal sadly however did kill the game apart from an effort by Booth which went narrowly over the top the home side didn't look like reducing the arrears.
Garstang looked more dangerous as the game wore on nearly added a fourth a back heal set up a shot which was curled against the bar from wide left .
A red card for one of the home sides coaching staff for slightly losing the plot over an offside decision, the lass running the line got grief for that as well. In the end a highly competitive game was well won by the visitors.
More than likely at AFC again on Saturday
