I must add to Theo's previous thread that, in fact, it is governance with no written constitution attached to it whatsoever and that is the highly questionable way that British governance operated. So a huge majority government, like this unscrupulous one, can come in and literally "ride roughshod" over everything and everyone. There are good examples of things like big money contracts being awarded "on a handshake"/without competition to Brexit supporting businesses eg look at a March contract to test the effectiveness of coronavirus messaging, worth £840k, and issued by Gove's Cabinet Office. The only written record in the public domain is a letter dated 5 June - no ad, no notice of award to a company named Public First!! It joins a growing list of dodgy transactions. Now it is being done shamelessly at a time when the exchequer is overstretched and with huge costs of Brexit. Remember it is our tax money that is being abused "big time" btw! Consequently there is huge distrust of this government and no f###### wonder. IMO it is cheating the system and I don't like that one jot!!
