I am not saying spend big, I'm thinking more of putting more money into wages to get quality players here even on loan for the second part of the season. The likes of say Murray, Maynard, Powell, Lingaard etc. No one expected us to be so close to the play-offs and for MM just to let that slip away to me is foolish. We are hoping to get there rather than trying to put it into our own hands. Baring injuries getting 4 players in could push us there. Next year the 3 sides come down along with the ones that haven't got promoted and Cardiff, Fulham and whoever else got relegated 2014 will be stronger. That will push us further from the play-offs in my view.
This time next year we will look back and go MM should have gone for it then .
Fooking MM ambition or lack off is really getting on my nerves !!!
I agree that it is an opportunity that might not come up again for a few years. Another Wickham like acquisition could add 12 points to our total, which could mean the Playoffs come May.
The only problem with loan signings is that they don't improve the squad long term so by the summer we are weaker again plus we stand to lose Kirkland, Buxton, Mattock, Loovens, Zayatte, Maghoma, Lee, McCabe, Corry, Semedo, Coke, Maguire, Madine & Nuhui, who are out of contract.
