Queen Anne gets thrown a bone in trying to sort out league reconstruction. Good luck with that, she will be the only premiership rep who will be interested. They need a 11/1 split remember.
The SPFL board might be useless but they have done her up like a kipper.
Are there any benefits to league reconstruction? Increase the size of the top division could mean more games on tv but will that equate to more money for the league as a whole?
I'd be in favour of reconstruction done properly, so you can rule that out with Anne budge at the xxxx helm.
A 16 team top flight be grand but it will reduce the money in the game from tv and sponsors and I'm not sure the competition level would be better either.
It cant be reconstruction for the sake of keeping hertz up, they have been shite all season and financially reckless for years now. Even at the end there they were paying crazy money for players. Budge has some cheek saying there are too many teams in Scotland, a lot of those smaller clubs are far better and more responsibly run than hearts, she could learn a thing or 2 from them.
